SUMMARY:“I International Seminar on Victorian Studies in Spain: VINS Network”[:en]“I International Seminar on (Neo-)Victorian Studies in Spain: VINS Network”.
DESCRIPTION:Este seminario internacional se enmarca dentro de la red temática de investigación “VINS: (Neo-)Victorian Network”\, coordinada por la Dra. Rosario Arias Doblas e integrada por investigadores de varias universidades españolas que comparten interés académico en los estudios de la época Victoriana y su repercusión en el presente. \nDada la reciente creación de dicha red\, este evento se propone funcionar como el lanzamiento oficial de la misma\, reuniendo a distintos investigadores nacionales que\, a partir de sus respectivos proyectos de investigación\, se proponen intercambiar ideas de forma colaborativa. \nEste evento\, además de suponer el punto de partida de la primera red de investigación de estudios Victorianos y neo-Victorianos en España\, también tiene un alto carácter internacional y contará con la presencia de los conferenciantes plenarios Birgitta Berglund (University of Lund\, Suecia)\, Marie-Louise Kohlke (Swansea University\, Reino Unido)\, Patricia Pulham (University of Portsmouth\, Reino Unido) y Mark Llewellyn (University of Strathclyde\, Reino Unido)\, todos ellos especialistas en el campo de los estudios literarios culturales de la época Victoriana y el siglo XIX. \nAsimismo\, además de contar con un nutrido programa académico\, este seminario dedicará varias sesiones de carácter divulgativo dedicadas a la difusión y el impacto del siglo XIX en España y\, más concretamente\, en la ciudad de Málaga. \n  \nVer Programa[:en]This international seminar lies within the research network “VINS: (Neo-)Victorian Network” (https://vins-network.org/)\, coordinated by Professor Rosario Arias Doblas. The network is made up with scholars from several Spanish Universities who share academic interests on Victorian studies and their impact upon the present. This event aims at officially launching this recently created research network\, gathering different national scholars who\, via their respective research projects\, seek to share ideas collectively. This seminar\, as the starting point of the first research network devoted to Victorian and neo-Victorian studies in Spain\, is equally marked by an international character. Accordingly\, this event will host international scholars such as Birgitta Berglund (University of Lund\, Suecia)\, Marie-Louise Kohlke (Swansea University\, United Kingdom)\, Patricia Pulham (University of Portsmouth\, United Kingdom)\, and Mark Llewellyn (University of Strathclyde\, United Kingdom)\, being all of them reputed specialists in literary and cultural studies of the Victorian Age and the 19th century. Additionally\, besides relying on a stimulating academic programme\, this seminar will devote some educational sessions aimed at public engagement\, dissemination and impact of the nineteenth century in Spain\, and more specifically\, in the city of Málaga.
